URGENT ALERT as of 9:25PM: Lumad and farmers held up at checkpoints


For the third time tonight, the 2,000 participants were help up at a check-point in Damay, Sumilao, Bukidnon.

Two 6×6 army vehicles and a police patrol car blocked the road to intercept the participants who are joining the activity tomorrow in Cagayan de Oro City in commemorating the 70th International Human Rights Day. The military personnel stated the participants need to back up as they know that they are going to the rally tomorrow.

They lit a bonfire to provide light to their surroundings and as a form of protest.
