An estimated 2,000 farmers and Lumads from Bukidnon on their way to Cagayan de Oro city for the commemoration of the 70th International Human Rights Day were held up by armed police forces at Patpat, Malaybalay Bukidnon.
The participants then staged a picket rally where they were held and were let go after 30 minutes.
As they went back to their vehicles, the police officers also started to dismantle their checkpoint setup. Clearly, the holding point was setup waiting only for the delegates.
